Still Life in Sound

Project commissioned as part of Camden VOX, Camden's annual arts programme taking inspiration from the Women’s Suffrage movement and the centenary of the Representation of the People Act. Working with Quiet Down There, I led workshops with a group of self-identifying women responding to themes in the programme of exhibitions at Swiss Cottage Gallery in Camden.

Objects of all kinds carry personal and cultural stories across time and place, even the most familiar everyday objects. Through a series of short activities including drawing by touch, wordplay and a visualisation exercise, we created personal narratives for objects in connection to Katarina Hruskova’s exhibition 'The Waning Yolk' at Swiss Cottage Gallery in Camden Nov 2018 - Jan 2019.
